It's like a crack addict, you know it's killing you but you just can't help it. It's a good study on what effects a monopoly like Microsoft may have on a tech market in a country. Again, yet another irony of the "technologically advanced Korea". Btw, i like this staff writer Kim Tong-hyung he's done some excellent articles on the current tech market in Korea.

the problem isn't that microsoft has a monopoly, the problem is that koreans are cheap and clinging to the cheapest, easiest to use OS on the market...not to mention the easiest to hack. a mass exodus to vista or unix-based networks would cost billions (of won) and would require most of tech industry to learn new standards overnight.
