I had a look on google the other month for good Indian restaurants/ buffets in Seoul and came up with afew places
Taj Palace
Taj Mahal
Foreign Restarant
Chakraa
I ended up in Itaewon and went to the place opposite the Foreign restaurant. Taj Palace I think.
We had a peek in the foreign place and it looked a bit sad, and the peek into the opposite place looked promising and as we couldn't be bothered going no further we stayed.
Bad idea. The food was lukewarm and just okay, nothing great.
Can anyone suggest somewhere that is really fantastic.
Im from the UK and REALLY, REALLY miss having great indian food
Thanks |

Hate to say it but you won't, I have eaten at several places here that have had "rav" reviews and they have all sucked or at least been average |

I second that I've never found a great Indian buffet in Seoul. Most sucked, one was passable, but can't think of the name now. I've about tried them all, but the best Middle Eastern food to me were Ali Babba and Petra, both in Itaewon, but neither a buffet. Hoors or Hooris across from the Foreign Food Restaurant is good too, but nothing fancy. Just traditional Pakistani food. But again, not a buffet.
I've tried others that were good too, but not buffets.
If you don't like meat, then you'd probably like the buffets ok. Lots of veggie curry with rice. But you can get better curry in a bag of In Deli from E-Mart and there's a little meat in it. |

In Busan, Ganga (Haeundae) is pretty damn good, but a bit pricey. A la carte, no buffet. |

I went to Taj Palace and while the buffet was good for Korean standards it was still a pretty boring affair. These kind of buffets are just aimed at greedy pigs who just want to keep eating meat and naan. |

My neighbor knows some place in Bundang, says it's the best he's ever had. I want to say its around Migeum? Not very helpful, I know. I'll ask and get back to you. |

I think that by definition buffets are usually going to be sub-standard, unless they are very expensive. They cater to people who care about stuffing their faces and not usually fine dining.
In Busan in Nampo-Dong and in Daegu in Banwoldong there is a restaurant called A Road to India. Neither location is a buffet, but the food is quite good and reasonably priced. Most dinners under 10,000. You can find directions on Galbijim.

And now Ganga has a place on the north side of Suseong Lake. It's head and shoulders above the rest for taste, ambiance, service, and price. |

Namaste at Dongmyo has never disappointed me. That whole stretch by Dongdaemun has so many to choose from. At good prices too. |

Thanks alot guys.
I dont mind if it's not a buffet. Just somewhere to get great dishes would be great.
I had a look in the Indian in Banwoldong Daegu but when I asked what currys they had the waitress told me 'chicken curry, seafood curry and meat curry'. I decided to look elsewhere!
Went to one near Kyungbuk Uni North Gate Daegu and that was not bad.
I went to Jisan Rock festival and 'ALSABA' - a Pakistan Indian restaurant had a stall there - the food was pretty awesome, never been to the restaurant in Seoul of theirs yet though. |

Ganga in Haeundae is still the best Indian food I've ever eaten, bar none. And yes, it's pricey, but consistently excellent. |

There is a great Indian food restaurant at Jeongia Station in Bundang, but my god it cost an arm and a leg! About 15-17k per person for the main dish and another 15 for a side dish to munch on! But it is worth it every once and a while, when can bare another kimbap or Kimchi soup of some form or another |
