I'm not even going to buy one but it makes me happy, more or less because it represents a change in the market here.
I've been through 3 korean phones in three years, and last night I bought a crappy, 3 year old Motorola Razr...it's better than any of the Korean phones I've had.
Love the iphone or not, you can't help but notice that after its release, Korean phones got a lot better in terms of design and INTERFACE. Korean and Japanese phones have always had a lot of bells and whistles, but the designs and interfaces have been atrocious.
That's why they've been cockblocking for so long--they've just now caught up in terms of user interaction, something the Iphone absolutely blindsided them on. |

The commission decided that to facilitate the iPhone's entry to South Korea, local telecommunication service providers can obtain permission on Apple's behalf. The commission sought a "flexible way to apply Korean law to Apple's case," Oh said. |
I love how they were trying to speed up the process! Only 90+ countries were able to do it faster - not too bad, Korea! |
