Perhaps you should consult the Constitution for that information. What a concept! The longer this thread goes on, the more you reveal how little you know about the question you asked--and it isn't as if the information you originally asked for wasn't freely available to anyone who stayed awake in Gov't class in high school.
The flaw in your whole position (I'm being polite) is that the Constitution provides a legal mechanism to change the rules by which we govern ourselves--a major innovation in government which has been used repeatedly in the last 200 years. What it does not provide for is the tyranny of the minority, which is what you seem to be pushing for--and why should it?
The tea-baggers have been getting a lot of attention this year for digging up the quote of TJ on the necessity of the tree of liberty being watered...but they conveniently overlook the brilliant advance in government made by the Founders who very deliberately inserted the amendment process in the body of the Constitution. Revolution is no longer necessary because the formal compact that created the union includes the mechanism to change the rules by which we govern ourselves.
We are one people--that was settled at Gettysburg, Vicksburg and Appomatox. If you want change, then you have to persuade a 2/3's majority that you are right. If you can't do that, then just sit in your corner and pout.
As a generous hand of good will, I will say that I don't particularly like the Law of Gravity, but I have been struggling for a long time to accept it. |

| A long-winded piece of flagwaving dreck that completely ignores the underlying fact that 2/3 of a corrupt government (that was placed there by special interest groups) is extremely unlikely to vote itself out of office -- no more likely than Nancy Pelosi handing over the keys to her private jet without any encouragement. |
