I guess Bangkok is the obvious pick, which is probably what I will be doing.

Anyone going anywhere out of the norm? Are there any specific events worth traveling for around this time?

Last year (first winter break in Korea) was a Taipei/Hong Kong/Macau sightseeing trip. No special festivals that I was aware of. I have no idea this year.

Boracay, El Nido & Puerto Galera in the Philippines, provided my school doesn't demand I stay in Korea, because of swine flu.
