I'm trying to think of a movie that shows a shipwreck. Preferably a small boat or yacht where the passengers escape on a lifeboat or swim to shore. Kids in the scene would be nice.

I have the opening scene to Lord of the Flies but it doesn't show the actual ship going down.

Yeah. But its a bit drawn out. I'd like to have something around 3-5 minutes. A boat or yacht starts going down, people get to the raft, they paddle to shore.

If you want kids going to shore from a sinking ship then that deserted island Brooke Shields' flick The Blue Lagoon or its remake are good choices! two kids in it!
