Hello Football and Beer Fans!!! I'd like to announce that Tuesday is officially NFL night at the Ka Brew beer pub.

Each Tuesday we will start the night (7pm) by showing Monday's game, then finish the night by showing any game from Sunday that the audience would like. As always, 10,000 Won all-you-can-drink, wings, and now, Alley Kat on tap for 3,000 Won per glass!

Please visit our facebook page to receive updates and events (there will be quite a few in October).

Directions: Miaseomgori station, exit 3, walk 90 meters (you will pass a KEB). Ka Brew is in the ground floor of the ECOPIA building. You should see the banners soon after passing the KEB.

As far as a google map, I'll get that for you at some point, but (not to be snarky) it's literally a 2 minute walk from Miaseomgori station, exit 3.

As far as my relationship to the place, shoot me a pm and I'll tell you, but I'm not the owner.

Given that you're using the word "we," i can guess that you own the place, or are involved in the business somehow.

Not everyone is on facebook. Why not post links here to the exact location on Wikimapia.org or Googlemaps.

10,000W for ALL YOU CAN DRINK and wings? Am I reading this right?

What are the beer options for the 10,000 price tag?

Pilsner, Hefeweizen, and a new Dark Ale. Also, cass and prime max, but why would you do that to yourself?

Alley Kat is 3,000 won per glass. OR, you can pay 30,000 and Alley Kat is also all you can drink.

My roommate and a few friends have hit this place up, they say it's real nice. I cannot PM yet, but I'd really like to know how exactly this place stays in the black, mr jdog.

Never heard of Alley Kat. Is it a micro that is brewed there?

For 10,000 I will drink like a fish and not feel guilty about 15 beers.

I went to this place on Friday after reading about it here. Thought I'd offer a quick review... hope I'm not screwing Jdog2050 over... he seems to be involved with this bar somehow, and my review isn't completely positive... but I figure others will want to read it.

I'll get the bad stuff out of the way. This bar just really puzzled me. The atmosphere, at least when I was there, was pretty awful. Like eight people on a Friday night. The inside of the bar feels like a KFC or some fast food joint. Really bright lights, no music, tables spread out with no bar to speak of... just doesn't seem like a bar at all. Really sterile and joyless... like fast food joyless, not dive bar joyless (the latter is at least a bit literary). It's like a beer cafeteria. And it closes at 11:30.

BUT... the beer special is OUT OF SIGHT. Like... the best I've ever heard, anywhere. It's cheaper than drinking at home. It's cheaper than drinking in the third world. It's unbeliveable. The kegs are set up against the wall, and you pay 10,000W, yes, 10,000W for a glass, then you serve yourself. So it's all you can drink, but not of that standing in a crammed bar with a plastic cup for ten minutes variety, not getting dirty looks for asking for another.

And the beer is SO good. Best beer I've had in Korea... or the Hefeweizen is just as good as the place I used to frequent in Gwangju (when 3,000W a glass seemed like a great deal). I'm not as serious a beer drinker as some on here, but to me it was as good as beer gets. Perfectly cold and tasty and smooth. They have three or four styles, and all are great, but the Heifeweizen tastes like... manna or something. It is a very nice way to get drunk. I was happy I went.

So... if you're going for some methodical drinking with a few pals and not looking to meet any chicks, this is your spot. JDog, if you're part of the management there, I'd recommend simply dimming the lights and putting on some music. In my opinion, those simple adjustments would really improve the atmosphere.

Hey there,

A completely fair review, and yes, now that I'm part of the team at Ka-Brew I will indeed be changing the atmosphere. I'm really happy that you like the beer.

Pro-tip: IPA in one month!!!
