I rode around Korea. Cost of bike + motel stays + fuel + food < 1 mil won.
I didn't even think of the word 'English' for 2 weeks. That was what I wanted. |

What city did you do it in?
Did you rent the bike? If so, how much did it cost and so on?
Would you recommend females travel along in Korea? |

I should have been more specific. I rode my scooter around Korea. Basically rode to four corners of Korea. Seoul to Goseong to Busan to Mokpo and back to Seoul. If you have a female companion, I don't recommend it at all. Unless she's into riding motorcycles as well. |

I'm told there are lots of day tours out of Seoul that are very reasonably priced. The country is small enough that day trips are actually feasible, especially if the KTX can be used.
I just took one day trip down to the terraced tea plantations/bamboo forest/Korean cattle raising area (last part was for dinner) in the SW corner of Korea. The tour included KTX tickets, and cost 70,000/person. It was a really great trip, I was very impressed. It was a transport-only tour, which to me is perfect, but maybe you prefer tour guides. This was all booked by a Korean friend though, I don't know what websites to go to myself, nor probably how to use them. |

Woah, 1200 will get you a LOT.
You could spend a week travelling in Korea, using ktx and busses and visit several cities or provinces and stay in reasonable motels for way less than that! |
