If you were stuck in Singapore fopr 8 days where would you go? I was thinking of taking a cheap return flight to get out of there somewhere nice for 8 days. Has anyone traveled around Singapore/ knows good deals on flights I would like to hear about it.

You can probably find cheap flights to malaysia, indonesia, and thailand. There are cool places in all three countries.

tioman island or the perhentian islands in malaysia.

or if the monsoon in on the east coast go to penang.

if you prefer jungle to beaches then head to taman negara.

all are an overnight bus ride away, penang you might want to fly tiger air or airasia.

Spend you time eating around the city in all the hawker centres. It's perhaps the best food city on earth. You can spend a day on Pulau Ubin, an island off the northeast coast that still is primarily covered by jungle. There's some people living there in Kampongs; it's rural Singapore and really awesome to see. Rent a bike to get around.

Check out the downtown area. See all the parks. Go to the zoo and botanical gardens. Check out Little India and Chinatown. There's so much to do there.... Then again it's my favorite city in the world.
