I think a lot of people had a WTF feeling after watching Eraserhead. When i rented that movie, the guy working at the counter said something like, "Wow, I've never seen anyone rent this before who wasn't stoned."

I believe many people also thought wtf when they saw the remake of "Planet of the Apes," but for different reasons.

'The Orphanage'...a film in Spanish that just left me wanting to vomit and cry at the same time. I think in Spanish it's 'El Orfunato', but don't quote me.

WELL worth the subtitles. Freaky freaky.

Saw one called "Joshua" recently. Guess it is not well-known. About a strange kid, and the ending has not yet left me. Just really odd and creepy in a hard to explain way. Like a strange dream or drug experience.

"Jacob's Ladder". Very interesting flick. The movie plays around with the "chronology" and I still can't figure out what the hell happened.

Requiem for a Dream was definitely a WTF for me when I saw it like ten years ago.

I recently saw R-Point, a Korean horror film. It doesn't try to scare you for no reason and it does have a real story to tell; unlike many other films of this genre. Best Korean horror movie I've seen so far. Here's the IGN review: http://movies.ign.com/articles/690/690760p1.html

Being a chiropractor I love the movie Jacobs Ladder. It's not hard to figure out . His mind and soul are hanging on to this world after he has been killed in Vietnam. The lesson is to learn that everything even the demons have been trying to free him. The best part is the flashbacks after chiro adjustments and that the chiro is the angel. I first watched this movie on opening night in Whistler, Canada and the room was full of odours other than popcorn. People were off their heads that night. It was quite the atmosphere. This movie plays on Korean tv quite a bit around 11pm.

D.D. Hold on a minute. I have seen this a few times over the past 10+ years, and the chronology still has me baffled. I am going from memory here, so be gentle.

The end of the flick, he just dies in the medical tent. So the whole movie prior to the ending was all in his head, memories etc.

Why is he in NYC talking to the chemist who made the "ladder" after the war, when his platoon went nuts on each other just after being exposed to it? That's when he recieved his fatal wounds.

Also, all his platoon members got together in NYC after the war, talked about hallucinating etc, talked to a lawyer.

What's with the girlfriend ( the Latin chick )? He had a wife and son prior to the war?

Please explain this one? I just don't get it!!

Apocalypse Now left me saying "did I need to be doing drugs to enjoy that?"

I mean after the opening scenes which are action packed and pretty exciting, the rest of the movie was just a "WTF is going on" moment for me. I mean I got what was going on, but it just seemed like I needed to be tripping out on some stuff to appreciate it more.

Antichrist - I closed my eyes for the gross parts. Overall, I thought it was a rather interesting movie; beautifully cinematic, and well-acted. Gross bits aside, it's worth seeing.

Jacob's ladder- I gathered that the main character was dead, and in some kind of limbo? Anyone else get that?

The orphanage - Yes, very creepy. Had to watch that one in the daylight. Dead evil children = instant nightmares for me.
