He always brings up the Egyptian woman killed in Germany. It has absolutely nothing to do with Iran - the only issue behind it is lax German court security that enabled the murder to take place.

in all fairness he did answer to the comment about the dead girl at the protest. Couric is trying her best to demonize Iranian government, so I can't blame the Iranian president for criticising Western media for not being objective and simply sensationalizing events that make Iran look bad. It's hypocritical to focus on this one death in Iran when we all know each day a police officer in the US is tazing and killing people.

It's only fair he brought up the other muslim woman, because he answered to the comment first. It's tit for tat.

Let's see...Neda was an Iranian protester that was killed by forces loyal to Ahmadinejad's government. Ahmadinejad's example was an Egyptian woman that was killed in a court by a guy that she testified against due to no security being present in the courtroom. Not even remotely the same thing. It would be like answering a Mexican reporter asking "why was your government so rough on G-20 protesters?" with a "oh yeah, well how about that American tourist killed on the street in Mexico last year?"

I got a friend in Iran. He said some Korean dramas are really popular there. I specifically talked about Jumong and said Iranians go crazy over the show.

I thought that was interesting. Who would've thought Iranians would like Korean historial dramas.
