I recycle. I drive a Honda. I can easily refer to myself as environmentally concerned. But GW is a complete sham. I first heard of it in the 5th grade and had it shoved down my throat for the rest of my school days. The evidence isn't there.

The evidence suggests the exact opposite of GW is occurring. The globe is becoming cooler. Which models predicted this?

Despite this, I support restricting carbon emissions via a petroleum tax that increases every year.

Lawrence Solomon provides zero evidence against global warming in that article.

Why would it be global warming that broke the shelf when the complete data suggests global cooling?:

Umm Maybe it was colder temperatures that melted the ice? That makes sense.

Most of the worlds scientists are pretty much in the warming camp here. Those who aren't usually have an agenda.

But you know better? What makes you an expert on climate science? Investing and business maybe but climate science no.

We're all basically arguing from authority on this thread. Unfortunately, most climate scientists come down on my side. I'd like to be wrong here.

Unfortunately, you are wrong. The tide of opinion is moving away from the man made climate change hypothesis. It has been for some time.

You don't have to be an expert in the field of climate science to comment intelligently on the issue.

I know you can quote a few dissenters by name.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_opinion_on_climate_change

But the weight of opinion follows the weight of the evidence I believe.

And what do you mean 'Unfortunately' I'm wrong? That there should be no terrible consequences of the greatest uncontrolled experiment on the only ecosystem that we have is very good news. I have children.

I'm not going to post in this thread any more I think, but my gut feeling is that the worst predictions of climate scientists are wrong and things won't be that bad. However my brain tells me that thinking with ones guts is stupid.

Did you see the OP? The "scientific community" was hoodwinked by a liar.

Errr.. no seriously, mods, are you there? This should be deleted... there's no 'no' response. AKA - it's propaganda.

I created the poll, but I guess I didn't hit submit on the "no" option.

It was intended to have a "no" option.

Mises knew about the revised poll but chose to post here.

I ask that this thread be locked. I've responded on the thread with the proper, revised poll.
