It is cheesy and recycles old sci fi plots, but it's also super campy for sci fi buffs, and makes a million references to the oldies and goldies.
E.g.- This show is filmed in Vancouver, much like X-Files once was. Once upon a blue moon, Canadian X-File fans were tickled pink to see CN on the sides of the train cars in one of the episodes (almost like having the Canadian flag plastered on the sides of the cars). I am a few minutes into episode 2 season 2 of the fringe, and though the episode takes place in Pennsylvania, CN is on the side of the train cars. These guys pay attention to detail, I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say this was a thumbs up to the X files and to Vancouver.
Also, who decided the spelling for Pennsylvania? That dude was high. |

Yea. I have started watching this show. I will probably finish it. Mid way through season one, right now. It's a good solid 3 star show, for me. Entertaining but it isn't going to bust your brain or anything. |

All I can say about season two is that it's patently unfair to kill Anna Torv and then bring her back five minutes later. Damn teases. Thought I'd seen the last of that android. |

No, the guy setting off the people bombs- I recognize him from somewhere else. He sounds like clint eastwood or optimus prime. |

Fringe might be the greatest television show of all time. Maybe not. I don't know what that means actually. What I do know is I love some of the dialogue. Walter kills me. My favorite: "Am I required to keep him alive?" |

Watch Season 1 episodes 1 - 20 and scratch your head concerning ZFT, "The Pattern", ect. At Episode 20 you go Aha! Then watch them all one more time and get much more what is happening. Then go on to Season 2. Fringe rocks!! The best science fiction TV show of our age!! I love it!! |
