hi, i just realized that i lost my bank card. i'm hoping that nobody has spent any money on it yet, but just in case someone did, what are my options? do the banks just tell you "tough luck" or is there a way to get my money back? thanks. does anyone have stories related to this? i bank with KB, btw. thanks. |

Serously? I've never used my bank/debit card that way.

It's true! When I pay for stuff with my check card my girlfriend sometimes likes to jump ahead and just signs my first name into the machine.
Never had any shop/restaurant staff bat an eye-lid about it.
My girlfriend just uses some squiggle when signing her name.
Actually, I am not even sure if she has signed the back of her card. |

Have you reported it? If you have reported it, any spending after the fact shouldn't be charged to you - banks have insurance against things like this. |

Yeah signatures here mean nothing. Sometimes I just draw a picture on those digital signature machines, such as smiley faces etc. The person at the register just usually smiles but lets it go through. You should report your card stolen. I had my wallet stolen once, and called the numbers in my bank book and canceled the cards asap. Luckily people who "find" wallets tend to just take the cash out and throw them on the street.
Police station called my bank because someone turned in the wallet, and they found my bank cards in there and called the bank and told them to call me to go pick it up. |

Have to say I'm a little shocked by this especially assuming you've been in country for ~4 years. |
