Is there any difference between an iPod Touch from the States vs. one from Korea? I would assume only the plug would be different, but is there anything else? Is it easy to get a Korean style plug for the iPod? |

No difference. Plug included is a USB one anyway... so no diff. If you want to charge it via the wall, you can buy that at any Apple store in Korea. |

I've got another question. I'm debating right now to get either a new 8gb 3G model or a 16gb 2G model. Both of them are around the same price.
I know that the new 8gb 3G model doesn't technically have the 3G operating system, so that was kind of a put off for me. I was thinking of getting the 16gb 2G one and them updating it to the 3G software. Is this possible. Will it work as well as the new 3G ones?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am not very tech-savvy. |

On another note, I noticed that Costco doesn't carry the 8gb model at the moment. |

I love my iPod Touch. I have a 2G 32gig version. It's great.
From my understanding, the currect 8gig 3G is essentially the same old 8gig 2G version.
If you were to buy a 16gig 2G and then upgrade to the 3.1 firmware (for a small fee) you would be fine. The 3G iPod Touches were just released in September and they have improved hardware. However, the improved hardware is not yet a requirement for any apps on the iPod touch. The 2G has support for a mic too.
I personally like to have the best, so if I was to buy one it would be the 64 gig 3G... but that's my own issue.
I'm off to the gym now... with my iPod. |

I'd be all over an iPod if it had FLAC support. I know that I wouldn't be able to take advantage of FLAC on a portable player, but I also don't want to convert all my music or keep it on my computer at one time (thanks, iTunes). |

I saw only 16 and 32 last night. It was the Sanbon? location on the olive line. |

The only difference is the 'certification' tags on the back of it. My Korean-bought iPod nano has different certification tags than my iPhone and North American-bought iPods do.
Otherwise, exactly the same. |

I meant the Sanbon station location. That's where I went. |
