I was looking to find a couple of clubs to join perhaps so that I could be more active. It could be anything from badminton to book-shelving, I honestly don't care. The point I am trying to make is, where can you find out about various clubs to join in Korea? I've heard of people talking about them, but I've never actually seen any for myself. |

www.meetup.com and search for Korea and then Seoul, or another city. There's a good selection of groups there, and they seem to be rather active.
have fun! |

Ignore all the "clubs" on Daves.
There are board game clubs, vegetarian clubs, etc... I have been to each of these and everytime we did the activity for less than an hour then went to Hongdae and started to get drunk.
All the clubs that are advertised on Dave's need to change their name to "we're just going to Hongdae/Itaewon then we're going to get drunk"... |

There are lots of clubs on Daum. Ask a Korean friend to help you find one that interests you.
Also, consider Facebook. |

My uni has lots of clubs like volleyball, speech clubs and so on. They probably have book clubs too but I haven't really looked into it. There are quite a few foreigners who attend the speech club and some of the sport clubs even though they are not students at my uni, so if you want to hang out with uni students try to contact some nearby uni. If your Korean is not that great it will probably be best to contact a uni which has a lot of foreign students since they will be more likely to be conducted in English. |
