Until Yelp listens to me and launches a division for Korea on their site, this will have to do. So just post your thoughts and info on a specific ethnic foods place in Korea. Could be your favorite Mexican, Thai, Viet, etc. place.

I for one am looking for a Vietnamese place that sells Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong. Has anyone been to the "authentic" Chinese place, "Ho Lee Chow"? Do they have things like Spicy Salt Squid, Yu Choi in Garlic Sauce, Sichuan style Spicy Fish fillet? Never thought i'd say i miss "Sam Woo" or "PF Changs" but i do.

*Edit I found their website: http://www.holeechow.co.kr/

Ansan station is one of the best places around for ethnic food. It's home to 20,000 foreign factory workers from China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, the Philippines, and so and so on. Not only are there tons of options, but the food is as authentic as it gets, and cheap, too. Most meals are between 5000~7000 won, with very few hitting 10,000. Plus, they have lots of foreign beers from the said countries.... or at least some.

Ho lee chow is not authentic Chinese food from China. It's more of a takeout American cardboard box style. The Guro area has many authentic Chinese food restaurants (mainland China style dishes). HK cuisine is at a premium here.

I would consider killing a person in cold blood for a bowl of those Vietnamese noodles you mentioned. Hell, even a decent bowl of pho would fit the bill.

Also, I find it offensive that you would put Sam Woo and PF Changs in the same sentence. Sam Woo BBQ is amazing. I actually have dreams about their salty-fish fried rice.

As far as real Chinese food in Korea goes... I've given up. I'll wait till I get to Hong Kong and pig out.
