Today, I received SPAM (the Nigerian Rip off kind where they tell me I can get 1.5 million if i just give them $115 first) addressed to a pseudonym that I created specifically and exclusively for EFL classroom.
So either some Nigerian is trolling EFL's database and lifting contact information, or EFL is selling/giving their information to someone who is then selling it to some seedy Nigerians.
For the record, I am not sure I have ever posted anything at EFL Classroom, and I have used the site only once or twice, about 6 six months ago. The fraudulent spam came today, addressed to this pseudonym.
David, care to comment? |

| Duebeiss is not like that. You don't have to worry. The guy is dedicated to his work and wouldn't subject teachers to spam mail purposely. I'm sure he'll be around soon and will help in any way he can. That's how he is. |

Thanks Cubanlord - that says most of it.
I'm in no way in control of or have access to any of the personal information even. But I will address this concern with NING the network provider. They are a large organization and I have a super (but contentious) relationship with them - being one of the first onboard when they started.
I sent a long PM.
Others with privacy concerns, please click the Privacy tab in the footer (bottom) of EFL Classroom. There you can read how seriously your privacy is taken. Also, click your "settings" and all members have full control over privacy and in fact can hide everything, delete anything, change all contacting info etc... and when they leave a community, their content/contribution goes with them (all content of theirs is deleted). This is something I really believe in [so for example a member can't be banned but the "site" keep their valuable contribution].
bigfoot, thanks for bringing this to my attention.

| Is the address publicly available on the forum or in your profile? Park English trolls dave's here and takes MSN addresses if you set one and sends ESL spam to it. |
