In Korea, are bikes (bicycles) allowed to be taken on trains?

I would love to take it on the Mugunghwa or KTX, get off at a cool city or touristy place and just explore

Where would you suggest putting it? The space in between cars is not very large sometimes. Can`t put it in the aisles either.

Yes, you can take bikes on the subway now. I've seen signs at some stations (go to the last car), seen a new subway with the last car having no seats in the back half just for bikes, and seen lots of K-mountain bikers with their balaclavas on, on the subway standing with their bikes.

So, go ahead and bring your bike. No worries.

I meant KTX, Saemaeul and Mugunghwa. Subways are fine. Have to use the first and last cars though.

Thats great news. Do you need to wrap it up in a big bag like they require you to do in Japan?

Who is that jungle girl? Wouldnt mind if she is my future ex-wife....

I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this too: I'd love to go on a long bike tour, but if there were any problems (medical, mechanical, etc.) I'd like to know I could get back to Seoul on the train.
