Hey, they spelled 'remunerate' correctly. That's something. The February and September bonuses are nice. As is compensation for not using any sick time.
This is kind of vague though:

What's a few? Anything more than two, at their whim? Winter vacation needs to be clarified.

Can they just make stuff up? You'll have to be vigilant during your term there that all of your bills are getting paid and they aren't holding anything back or not paying things (utilities?) that you think are being paid for you.

But if you do decide to quit, they will deduct the price of your airfare from your final pay...

This one is sticky. To be fair, you should only have to pay for air fare over if you've terminated employment (with the 2-month notice) less than six months in. |

20/80-min's a week at 2.1 mil?
That's double my work load and less money than me.
I'm low down on quals. You can't be that under-qualified. |

Really? It's still only about 27 hours of teaching/week plus one hour of prep/day. Didn't sound so bad to me ... I am quite qualified too. Are salaries negotiable?
Can I ask where you are teaching (or just what franchise if applicable) and how much you make? |

I am at PS elementary. I do standard work of 22 periods/40 minutes per week. I have BSc and TESOL cert.
Your contract is 20 periods/80 minutes.
As for at-school time: it is same. I am expected to be at school prepping etc 9-5. Counting the on-duty time it's an equivalent contract. Counting teaching time, it is not. So, your employer is not necessarily ripping you off, but I'd say you can work easier for same money. Although hagwon teaching can be easier than PS. Have a think about it. |
