haha, no, not in my hair.

I'm looking for those gray/green American flag patches soldiers wear on their combat uniforms. I got a new olive green backpacking backpack and it would look super cool on there.

I can only find traditional red, white, and blue patches. In the parts of the world I'm going to, I'm proud to be an American, I just might not want to advertise it so flamboyantly.

Any help?

Those are non-reflective combat zone issues. GI's are always keen to trade their issues for something else, but the question you have to answer is: do you want to wear a combat badge you didn't earn?

It's an American flag. I've paid my taxes since I was old enough to work (15). I've voted in every election I was eligible to vote in. I support my country and the troops that protect it every time I've been challenged. So yes, I deserve the right to wear and American flag whether it be red, gray, purple, orange, or green.

O.P. The fact that you want to stealthily advertise your pride with a less obvious flag sounds unnecessary to me as a fellow American. Don't you think you will get asked wherever you go if you are in fact American because of your a. fitted ballcap b. Pro football/basketball/baseball jersey c. stylish and trendy nylon jacket (not leather) d. superior Western demeanor e. (guessing) white skin? Why not just get a brown marker and draw a flag on your green Jansport backpack and eliminate the need to find a flag like the red white and blue one you find so "flamboyant" yet want to display with undercover pride.
USA IS NUMBER 1!!!!... wait, or is it (quietly) usa is number 1 if you look at my backpack I am wearing closely?

I'm going to Pakistan. I love my country. But waving around an American flag in Pakistan is just dumb.
