I'm not against online degrees, but some Korean online degrees must be a joke. I have an adult student in my evening class who said she is taking six, yes SIX online classes toward her MA right now in addition to my class!
When I asked her how he could do that, she said, "Just play the classes on the computer and leave. The tests are easy."

That depends on the particular school. Apparently your student is involved with a diploma mill school. One of my Korean friends is pursuing a degree online with a Korean school and she's stressing over every course. All the courses require participation in the class forums, homework, and monitored testing. Evidently not everything in this country is corrupt.
Either that or the student is pretty smart, doesn't need to study for those tests, and there's no other work required for the classes. |
