Most of the shoe topics are old, so I decided to start a new one.

Where can I buy shoes here? I'm a size 8 (US), I believe that's a size 5.5 UK or a size 250 Korea.

Please don't tell me "OMG IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND SHOES HERE!" I'm sure if we all put our collective info together, we find at least a few places.

I know Forever 21 sells larger sizes, but the styles are all too "fashion" for me. So let's not talk about that.

Does anyone know specific places where you can find size 8 and up (or even 7 and up) shoes (dress shoes, knee-high boots, winter boots, sandals, etc. etc.)?

Thanks!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

ETA: I also want to keep this specific to places you can actually visit.

Sorry G-Market lovers. Razz

A 7.5 to an 8 is about the upper end of what most Korean shoe stores will carry for women. My feet are about the same size, and the only trouble I had was finding shoes that weren't appallingly ugly, but nearly all the little random shoe shops should have something in your size.

Yeah, pretty much look around anywhere. 250 is generally as big as it gets, but it is certainly around. Although, based on the experience of some of my friends, you may end up with shoes that technically fit on your feet, but aren't quite shaped right.

Try being a woman's size 10. I have basically no options except men's shoes.

Try being a men's size 15. My choices are limited to about five different pairs of shoes, mostly space-boot basketball sneakers, in a couple of stores in Itaewon.

I wear 9 1/2 and got laughed at when I went to a shoe store. People were saying you could find bigger shoes in Itaewon, and I went in many shoe stores there and still found nothing bigger than Korean 250.

Hi, A&H State is a store in Itaewon about two doors over from the Baskin Robbin's across from the Hamilton Hotel that carries women's shoes both fancy heels and flats from 250-280 and boots. There is a b1 floor as well that has more stuff. I wear anything from a 250 in a sandle to a 270 running shoe so finding shoes can be emmensely difficult. However, I have to stop myself from buying a new pair of shoes every week there. They also carry clothing sizes 30-40 women's pants and L-XXXL in tops and swimwear in the summer. All the new stock that has come in is about 60-65% off the stick price, check downstairs and further in the season shoes go to 85-90% off the stick price. New stock comes in all the time so keep checking.

anyone have solid info on men's shoes as well? particularly athletic shoes. I need something like a size 300 (12 or 12.5 US), which is incredibly difficult to find. as for gmarket suggestions, I've always found that different brands and even models fit differently.

You have to come to terms that if you want to dress well and fashionable here and don't have the body of a Korean, you're either going to have to get stuff made or order from online stores in your home country. That's just how it is.

I can't count all the money I've wasted buying Korean clothes for myself. After one wash, they shrink or get stretched out so that they look horrible. I have never been able to buy shoes here (US men's 12). I order casual shoes online and got dress shoes made in Itaewon.

Give up on finding a store. It ain't gonna happen.
