I'm about 99% sure its region blocked. Not even a program like Hotspot Shield can get around it.
Not really sure how Google knows you are using a proxy-like service, but when I tried to access it in Korea through proxies, it kept telling me "Not available in your country/region" |

| Well since most of the search data on the net runs through Google, I can't say that I'm suprised that they know what's what. |

I had the same problem when I was trying to setup Google Voice. Anytime I tried to use a proxy in Firefox, it would still give me the region msg.
Oddly enough when I used the proxy in IE, it went through just fine. |
