Sorry if this is covered somewhere else but I have heard that shopping online is super dope in korea, only problem is I need a site in english... any recccccommennndations?

Gmarket is the only one I know of that has an English option, and even then you can only find things that people have listed in English, which is a paltry amount compared to the listings in Korean. Your best bet is to get a Korean friend to help you order until you know enough Korean to order things yourself.

use the korean gmarket site. google translate the items youre looking for from english to korean and cut and paste the korean to do the search on korean gmarket. when you find something you like, hit english on the topright and it switches to item in english........sort of, the descriptions are still almost exclusively in korean.

but are usually sufficient to get a basic understanding of what is being said.

the real problem is that so many (almost all) korean websites rely heavily on the use jpegs and gifs to display text on their sites, rather than actual text, so online translation becomes impossible without some kind of optical recognition software - at which point is it just more convenient to get a real, live korean.
