|
|
I need a tourist visa run to Japan and back. How much is it? Is it cheaper than flying if I'm leaving from Incheon? The cheapest way, I guess, would be to take a bus to Busan and then take the ferry to Japan. Would that be to Fukuoka?
Basically, what's the cheapest way for me to get a return trip?
Thanks.
If you know any websites/companies that I could check with, please let me know.

190000 won if you book from Busan.
21000 yen if you book from Fukuoka.
Just ring beetle and make a reservation. You could probably roll up at the ferry terminal and buy a ticket as long as you wern't travelling on a weekend or public holiday (and even then the ferries I've been on have many empty seats). |

You said you're doing a tourist visa run, so it'd be cheaper to go to Tsushima (a big Japanese island between Japan and South Korea) from Busan. The ferry would probably be about 60 to 70,000 each way, and you could go to either Hitakatsu in the north, which is closer, or Izuhara in the south which would take longer and probably cost another 10 or 20,000. However, the ferries wouldn't be as frequent as the Beetle to Fukuoka. |

If you go through Kangsan travel, you get the return ticket plus a night in a decent hotel, including breakfast, for 240,000won.
Took my mother over there on that package a couple of weeks ago while she was visiting Korea. |

So those are the rates from Busan, meaning I'd have to make it to Busan first. Are there packages that anyone knows of off hand that depart from Seoul to Busan to Japan and back?
Or, better yet, how much is the bus to Busan? |

Yes, there is a travel agency in Gangnam that handles these packages, which includes round-trip KTX tickets and Busan-Tzushima ferry tickets for 190,000won. It is near Sinsa station if you get out on the same side as Mr. Pizza (at least thats where I remembered it).
The last time I took a bus to Busan it cost about 45,000
They also handle ferry trips between Inchon-Dalian and Inchon-Tianjin as well.
Good luck* |

You can book the ticket yourself here for 20,000 YEN

Though to be honest its only slightly cheaper than a plane ticket to osaka. If you can get a korean to help you order it, there is a seat sale on to osaka through a website called next tour. Its a korean site, 280,000 return, leaving from incheon. The ferry is 255,000. |
