In the poll question: loving = sexing up
(I thought I would be nice)

Man/Boy Love is as old as love itself, and stories of it have been told for thousands of years. Through these stories, we can gain insights into the nature of man/boy relationships in various manifestations and social settings.
Fiction, non-fiction, and fictionalized accounts based on true stories, all impart truths that are elided and suppressed in the popular media. The stories linked below include all three of these forms, and represent a miniscule sampling of the stories NAMBLA has published over the years. |

There's also no reason to start a second thread on this issue. Mods should prune it.
Besides, you have yet to produce proof Jennings supports NAMBLA. |

Yet? We only started discussing this.

What is surprising is that no one is mentioning reports that Jennings publicly stated that he was inspired by one of the biggest promoters of pedophilia in the countryHarry Hay. Hay actively promoted sex between men and boys and supported the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). Transcripts of a GLSEN conference in NYC on October 25, 1997 indicate that Jennings said, one of the people that always inspired me is Harry Hay. Jennings also edited a book called Becoming Visible: A Reader in Gay and Lesbian History for High School and College Students which included a biographical sketch on Harry Hay. One of GLSENs Education Department resources also lists a work on Harry Hay.
And yes, Jennings did write the forward to a book called Queering Elementary Education. And another fellow you may have heard of wrote one of the endorsements on the book jacketBill Ayers. |

Camille Paglia also supports NAMBLA...
Quote: |
As far as Ginsberg's pro-NAMBLA stand goes, this is one of the things I most admire him for. I have repeatedly protested the lynch-mob hysteria that dogs the issue of man-boy love. In "Sexual Personae," I argued that male pedophilia is intricately intertwined with the cardinal moments of Western civilization. Donatello's historically pivotal bronze sculpture, "David" (1430), was my main exhibit -- a languidly flirtatious work that would get the artist arrested for kiddie porn these days. In "Vamps & Tramps," I said that Western moralism and hypocrisy have driven the matter underground and overseas, where impoverished Third World boys now supply the sex trade.

And Rush Limbaugh loves Camille Paglia...

Camille Paglia at Salon.com says Pelosi's gotta go. I love Camille Paglia, but I respectfully disagree. We don't want Pelosi to go away. We don't want her to remain the Botox face of the Democrat Party and its health care efforts. We want Obama on the circuit. Something else he said yesterday, in addition to that.

Anyway, you get the point.

And your point is?
Rush Limbaugh can't even buy a football team.
Jennings publically supports NAMBLA.
Most of the times you make good arguments...this time...not good...not good. |

I'm just saying that the connections you've proven between the czar and NAMBLA are about as soild as the connections I've proven between Limbaugh and NAMBLA. But I doubt that the people reading that GOP spam mail about Jennings are also fretting about a NAMBLA supporter like Limbaugh being a big mover and shaker within the American political scene(a status he retains regardless of his ability to buy a football team). |
