I went into the travel agency yesterday and they told me they would not know the prices of airplane tickets for after March 2nd, 2010, until the middle of November, next month. Is that normal? I'm sure I booked and paid for a flight a number of months in advance in the past. Have you guys? Or have you found that it is not possible to book AND PAY for a flight more than a few months in advance? Or is the price set once a year at exactly this time?
Also, what about open booking flights? How much more does it cost to book a flight with the option (and actually a deliberate view) to bringing that booking forward or putting it back at some stage? |

Before I have been able to look ahead up to a year, but I've never tried paying more than a 2 months in advance, so I can't help you much.
It could be the fact that prices are changing so fast right now. |
