| I heard that those starting in Februrary will need to sign a 6 month contract and are then required to sign on for another 12 months beyond that. Is this true?? |

Only time will tell. If you're coming at the start of the next term then it would seem likely that they'd give you a regular 12 month contract.
If they've had no problem with one year contracts in the past it seems unlikely they'll change it. Now, if you come after the starting date... |

| i really doubt that. the reason why some SMOE teachers have 5 and 12 month contracts put together is because they started in the middle of the semester. if you start in february, you're right at the beginning of their school year. |
