This is one of the funniest things I've heard about in the news in a while.

What would she be charged with, I wonder.

Apparently she had at least 5 grand and rented a ridiculous limo, so she did have some money she was sinking into this.

Pretty funny, though (unless you are the store manager, I guess).

Last I heard, they were thinking about charging her with inducing panic and possibly fraud. She already had outstanding warrants for aggravated menacing, misuse of a 911 system, and causing false alarms. Laughing

One cop was saying they might not press charges on the hoax since she's crazy. My guess is the $5,000 she had was probably from disability checks, since it seems like so many people are drawing those these days. She stiffed the limo company on the $900 fee, but given how deep in the shitter Ohio's economy is, I'd bet the gas burned and milage on the limo was worth it to the limo company considering how much advertising they got from their limo being featured on the Columbus news like that. Very Happy

It sort of reminds me of my former roommate's plan a few years ago to pull a trailer fully loaded with clothing off the yard of the company that screwed him over on pay and drop the trailer in a poor neighborhood with the doors open on Christmas Eve night. I was hoping it would happen, but he's such a procrastinator and it never did. I've seen him do things a lot wilder than that many a time, though.

Just being realistic here. If the woman had been white, there would be a bigger ruckus over this. Shocked

I lived in Columbus about thirty years ago (while I was going to college) and worked on the east side; back then (I don't know about now), it was a rough section of the city and I wouldn't have wanted to tick the locals off.
