I've done a few searches on Bundang but most seem kinda outdated. I know it's a wealthy place, nice parks, ok-ish hangouts...If I take the position I'll be in Jeong-ja doing recruiting and training teachers. I originally wanted to be in Gangnam, but this position sounds really cool. How long will it take me to get to Gangnam, and is there a bus that goes there or just subway? Any other opinions? |

I live in Jeongia and I like it a lot. I have lived here for about 3 years now. It is quiet and clean. Ok hangouts but overall very nice. Things are more expensive then other places in Bundang. But Migeum and Sunae which are the next stops to north and south of Jeongia are better and more choice for many things. There is also a western food store in Jeongia that sells American and Western countries food and items. You pay for it as it is expensive but nice to treat yourself from time to time. There is also a bus that goes to Gangnam. It takes about 25-30 min non-peak time and about 45 during the traffic hours. But now they are about to finish a direct subway line to gangnam from Jeongia that will take you there in about 20 minutes. Should be done this comming year.
Anyway I hope that this helps. Reply back if you have any more questions or info that you would want to know. |

depends where exactly on the Bundang line but around 35 mins to say Seohyun Station from Gangnam.
www.smrt.co.kr (subway route map, tells you how long it takes etc)
There are express buses that go to Gangnam also that are quicker depending on time of day traffic. |

Jeongja is nice and its nothing to get to Gangnam from there - I LOVE Gangnam but Jeongja would do nicely! The 2002, or the 2002-1 bus would get you to the centre of Gangnam (just across from the cinema and two minutes away from Kyobo Towers) I am not sure but maybe the 1500 buses would take you past Jeongja from Gangnam also.
The subway will take you to Seoullung and then you can transfer to the green line and its a stop away from Seoullung - or you can take a 10 minute walk from Seoullung station - the subway takes awhile but I always liked travelling on the subway - If you have got yourself a nice gig in Jeongja then TAKE IT!!! |

For the record, although the distance is walkable, it is not "one stop away" or a "10 minute" walk... it's two stops away, and at least a 20 minute walk. I'm talking really fast walking. 30 minutes for most people or more. |

For the record - you are wrong - if you come up from exit 7 (like I did when I had to go to dream eye centre for my check ups) and walk in a straight line towards Bundang - you will get to Seoullung in around - OK, maybe not 10 minutes but no more than 15 minutes - 30 minutes if you have a broken ankle.
As for 'two stops' away - what I meant was that there was one stop - Yeoksam - between Gangnam and Seoullung - and are we talking about walking in a direct line or going by subway?
And walking along the straight road between Gangnam station (exit 7) and Seoullung - there was no other subways I remember seeing? I might be wrong though... |
