Hi!
Im planing to go to this Church on Sunday with my parents. Yoido Full Gospelis the largest Christian congregation in the whole world. Have anyone been there? Afterwards we will head to Osanri Choi Ja-sil Memorial Fasting Prayer Mountain with shuttle buses which should be for free. Have anyone went there or tried their accommodation? |

I've been to both. Some friends of mine from out of Korea came to visit and wanted to visit. I stayed at the prayer mountain for only a couple of hours. What was your specific question about them? |

i've been to that church 2 or 3 times. it's interesting to check out, but i'd never go again.
they will try and usher you to sit in the "foreigner section" where you can't see anything (just the tv) and you put on headphones. everything is in korea btw. the translators are decent, but not a great experience in my opinion. |

Too cultish for my liking. Plus the minister Mr. Jo is a crook. |

The foreigners church on the 9th floor is a freak show to behold. I went once and they asked me how often I planned on attending. I told them "2-3 or three times a month." Then they proceeded to tell me that that was "okay, but not good enough," and that I should look into coming before the main service and staying after lunch for the Bible study class before the evening service. And, oh, was a I free on most weeknights? |

Hi,
We got some seats at the third floor in the foreginers section, it was in front of the columns so we had great view. I guess the trick is to go about 20 minutes before they start a new session. Sunday at 13 is the most interesting one. They had translation to 8 different language as well as sign language. I wasnt very much interested in hearing everything but if you do you its smart to bring two of your own AA batteries. The whole thing was interesting to see/hear.
However the Prayer Mountain was a big dissapointment. One hour was to much to stay there. A bit special with praying grottos with people crying / screaming but not really worth the effort (even if its free). The bus was ful so I had to stand up for an hour. If you are going to take it be at least 15 mins at the bus stop before it departue.
Also, there are no good fast food around any of these places and the resturant at the prayer mountain is closed between 11 and 13 as well as from 15 to 17. Last two buses goes back 17.40 and 18.00. |
