In the desert, under combat conditions. Far too little of everything vital. Gastro-intestinal disorders. Gotta go. NOW! BADLY! Bible handy. Paper pages work wonders under stressfull conditions.

Mathew, Mark, Luke, John...come to think of it,I think it was John.

If God exists, which I seriously doubt. I'm sure she'd get the irony.

If that's the most outrageous thing the OP has ever done, it makes him rather pathetic.

To save on weight, I took one of the free paperback bibles from my church to Korea. I then wore the covers off it, bought a new one and threw the old one away before I left Korea. Is that outrageous? Am I going to Hell for that?

The book and the pages in it are not what makes the Bible holy. It's the word of God that makes it holy and that is more than just words on a page. Christians read the Bible, apply it to their lives, keep those words in their hearts, and then share them with others...(or at least that's what they are supposed to do.)

So, if you find my old, worn out Bible somewhere, feel free to use it's pages any way that you wish. I'll call it "creation care."

Shyte happens.
Anyway, I've found that burying your war stories in here doesn't elicit satisfying responses.
Carry on.

I don't see how using the Bible as toilet paper is particularly outrageous. If you need toilet paper, and that's the only paper you have, if anything it would be outrageous not to use it.
