Article here.

Celebrities are coming together to make it cool to volunteer. Disney gives you a free day at the park. This is all fine, but doesn't it seem a little bit convenient that all of this comes out now at the same time the Obama administration is calling for it? Obama controls the message through the media he holds in his pocket. Or in his little hand. And soon if you disobey, he'll just go [Beck slaps his hand]. Now the message will be embedded in television shows. Isn't this great? Aren't you proud of what we're doing? Oh, this certainly is change. |
How anyone can attack the White House encouraging purely voluntary community service, I have no idea. Celebrities coming together to make it cool to volunteer? Trying to use their fame in a coordinated fashion to encourage people to voluntarily give back to their society? The horror!
Is it any surprise more and more American businesses are pulling their ads from Beck's show? |

The videos clips are great. He just infers things.... 'The're asking to people to volunteer....hmmmm.. I wonder why... is there any reason they want them to do this... I wooonder...'
Pathetic. ETA for Beck going over the cliff? Within Obama's first 4 years. |

Lunacy. Did you hear what those kids were actually saying? "Because of Obama I'm inspired to be the next architect / fireman / chemical engineer" A perfectly fine sentiment.
You know what else is voluntary? The Red Cross! |

It's bloody disgusting.
"Because of [insert cult of personality dictator here] I'm inspired to be a fireman". Perfectly fine? Hell no, it's called brainwashing. It's indoctrinating children (who don't know any better) to look up to and love the government. It makes me wanna puke.
Anyway, as for the OP - who cares what Glen Beck says? He's nothing more than a phony, and a gatekeeper for the libertarian movement (controlled opposition working for the people who pay him his 50+ million dollar contract, with their agenda in mind). He's already been exposed (there have been youtube videos made documenting his hypocrisy) promoting the government bailouts to the banks, supporting the Patriot Act, and bashing Ron Paul - and even though a lot of what he says happens to be true, he only says it because it's part of his schtick (he basically rips off Alex Jones, except that he's a big fake). Plus he works for Fox news (what more do you need to know?) |

You're reading too much into it. Obama is the first black President of a country that used to have black slaves. This is inspiring. The kids are vocalizing their inspiration. I doubt the kids were forced to produce any part of this.
Camo and military wear is very common in 'step dance' and 'stepping' which is what this is an offshoot of. Stepping apparently has African roots. |

So what if he's black? Does that mean that he deserves all the praise he can get and is beyond criticism? This is certainly what the children are led to believe (even you're falling for it, and you're an adult).
Regardless, he's nobody to look up to. Under his leadership our country is still waging the two wars, killing and torturing people, and continuing the dismantling of the Constitution begun under Bush, and handing over trillions of dollars to offshore banks and the private Fed. He's a complete liar, basically a traitor, and without question a demagogue. It is a cult of personality, period.
None of those kids know anything whatsoever about Obama the politician, or his policies. They have no idea how to think critically. Basically they're brainwashed into thinking he's a great guy (a father figure even) so that will trust him. But they shouldn't trust him - he's a liar.
Long story short, teaching kids to love the government is about as evil as it gets. |

Saying children being inspired by Obama is brainwashing children into looking up to the government is like saying children being inspired by Michael Jordan is brainwashing children into looking up to the NBA. |

Volunteering is good for Americans.
1. Since they have no jobs, they have plenty of free time.
2. It prepares them for their future where they will be working but not be able to afford basic living expenses. |

You call that an analogy? A pretty poor effort, I must say...
Children are indeed brainwashed into looking up to sports stars and celebrities so that they will go out and buy Nike running shoes and Weeties (sp?) breakfast cereal. It's not particularly alarming however, when compared to brainwashing them into trusting and loving the government. OBVIOUSLY. |

Volunteering is a good thing:
It's good for America, it's a great example of libertarianism in action, it's an essential part of a free market system and a free society.
Obama as an inspiration for young people, or anyone, to try and make something of themselves is also a good thing. We should hope that the young men in the video do achieve their goals of becoming responsible, educated, successful working adults and enter the mainstream of American society. If Obama is the inspiration for their career, that's fine.
However, it is obvious from the video that these kids have been brainwashed into parroting political lies that the politically controlled media and their group leaders have fed them, and that's a shame. They may succeed in having a decent career, but as citizens they are brainwashed zombies and unable of critical reasoning. This, also obviously, was another goal of the group and, in the end, it may obviate the career success these young men seek. |

I wonder how much of this represents his actual politics (and I think it does to a large extent) and how much it represents his likely following network instructions to simply function as the mirror image of what we saw from the far left for the W. Bush administration's eight years in office (and I think G. Beck's alarmist, overly-wrought critics completely fail to see this side of it). |

So first you criticize the analogy, then you essentially admit that it's analogous. Looks like another example of a word you don't fully understand, coupled with a knee-jerk tendancy to sassily disagree with anyone you feel isn't sufficiently anti-government. |
