It's bloody disgusting.
"Because of [insert cult of personality dictator here] I'm inspired to be a fireman". Perfectly fine? Hell no, it's called brainwashing. It's indoctrinating children (who don't know any better) to look up to and love the government. It makes me wanna puke. |
Saying children being inspired by Obama is brainwashing children into looking up to the government is like saying children being inspired by Michael Jordan is brainwashing children into looking up to the NBA. |
You call that an analogy? A pretty poor effort, I must say...
Children are indeed brainwashed into looking up to sports stars and celebrities so that they will go out and buy Nike running shoes and Weeties (sp?) breakfast cereal. |
So first you criticize the analogy, then you essentially admit that it's analogous. Looks like another example of a word you don't fully understand, coupled with a knee-jerk tendancy to sassily disagree with anyone you feel isn't sufficiently anti-government. |
I said your attempt at an analogy was a poor effort, which it was. I explained why. Think before you post. |

I admit I was mistaken. Usually when we say an analogy is poor, we mean that it fails at being properly analogous. As such, my mistake was thinking you were actually using language properly to communicate something relevent to the conversation. I should have remembered that unless it's about the Rockefellers, Eugenics, or the Federal Reserve, you have nothing of value to say. Sorry. |

I wonder how much of this represents his actual politics (and I think it does to a large extent) and how much it represents his likely following network instructions to simply function as the mirror image of what we saw from the far left for the W. Bush administration's eight years in office (and I think G. Beck's alarmist, overly-wrought critics completely fail to see this side of it). |
Funny, I don't recall the "far left" having it's own cable "news" channel.
Michael Moore maybe further left on the political spectrum than what passes for the left in the US but he's certainly no Glen Beck. |

You do not remember Keith Olbermann's nightly rants? Mirror image of what Glenn Beck is doing. How about his colleague Rachel? How about Jon Stewart? The list goes on. And it is only 2009, Blade. Have your memory looked at, please.
In any case, the far right has its own cast of morons. They look pretty ugly up there ranting, do they not? Look in the mirror sometime.

Definitely. Except he's even more hostile. |

Democrats are propping Beck up as a replacement pinata to Bush. This is just a way to rally the troops. No Beck loving individual is going to be persuaded by Media Matters or Obama on this issue.
This is just a distraction. Team politics. Hey, look over there! (said while getting DP'd by health and financial services lobbyists. |

Looked at both of those links. Guess I missed the hyperbole.
