Please tell me JSB's pronunciation in that video is a sendup. Confused

I know his Korean ability is stellar, but that pronunciation is worse that a FOB LA gyopo's.

I've been reading what I can find about Scott.

Can anyone provide a bio? Seems he has been in Korea for ~13 years. Why did he come in the first place if not to teach English? Also, what's the story with him living in hotels?
