Do you have to go through EPIK, GEPIK or SMOE to get a public school job in Korea? I want to switch to public schools but it seems that everyone only has jobs available for these three and they all start February or March. Is there anything else? |

You can work directly with the city school board. In my city there is a mix of GEPIK and city contracts. |

you can also use a recruiter that deals directly with the school boards. most school boards and even direct hires just use some variation of the epik/gepik smoe contract, anyway.
there's an ad for gangnam in seoul that has three positions starting in december

February is one of the major times for recruiting NTs but you should be able to find some public school jobs before then. You can go through a recruiter. For instance, this recruiter has some public school openings for November and December. http://uni.nayana.com/~getscenter/location-1.htm |

or better yet; just cut the recruiters out entirely. they aren't necessary for in-country, direct hires. |
