|
My husband and I plan on bringing our two cats with us to Korea, and are a little confused by the required timing of the veterinary certificate. We keep reading that they need their shots 30 days before travel. Does this mean they need their shots at least 30 days before travel? Within how many days of travel do we need to get their vet certificate? How early can we get them their shots? Thanks in advance! |

As I understand it your pet must have had their rabies vaccination at least 30 days before departure but under the year mark (so for example you couldn't get them vaccinated on October 25th and then fly them out November 1st, you'd have needed to had them vaccinated by October 1st). I do believe, however, if you you just recently had them vaccinated sometimes they allow you to fly them anyways they just have to be quarantined.
The vet health check exam and certificate needs to be issued within 10 days of travel. So basically you need to have had them vaccinated previously and have the health check done within the week or so of your departure.
You should really check out www.animalrescuekorea.org it has all this information along with information on vets, pet supplies, etc. and is super helpful. |
