Immigration or you can easily check anyone for sex offenses....if a person in the U.S. has been CONVICTED of a "sex" offense, their name is here:

http://www.nsopw.gov/Core/OffenderSearchCriteria.aspx

It does not matter what state they live in, all convictions get reported/recorded here.
I was surprised! I typed in a few guys I know who ARE teaching in korea and both names popped up! And yes, I told both...I am waiting to see if they do the mid-night run!

You mean to tell me that whitey doesn't have enough folks in Asia out to get him, and now you feel that you need to jump right in there, just to liven things up a bit?

Oh man oh man....so many people I know..their names are on this registry...same state, same middle name, etc...and as for the whitey comment...both these cats in korea are not white; one is korean who lived in the U.S. for many years and the other is black.
And we both know almost all who look at this site are typing in names and checking out folks they know!

I thought you had to clear a criminal background check before teaching here? Or is that just public schools?

My name is there dozens of times, but not in my state. I'm surprised it wasn't in my state. I have one of the most common names. It's like being invisible.

My name isn't there, but my brother's is 7 times. Didn't even realise that he had been to the states, let alone 4 times. He even used different middle names each time. God is he sneaky

You are correct, but some slip through....in my opinion, so freaking what if someone has a criminal record...big deal...we all make mistakes...but if that person has turned their life around, paid their dues by attending college and graduated..then let them have a job as long as their conviction was not sexual or rape of a child, a child molester, etc..but someone who let's say, broke into a house and took something, or shoplifted, stole a car...someone who did not harm another physicallylet them teach.
Geshlook at all the elected officials who are crooks! Look at the cops who are committing crimes! We have a lot of sanctimonious, self righteous, two faced hypocrites running around!
