It is almost impossible to contact them. I have dealt with them plenty. Why do you need to contact them? What do you need to know?
If you just want to go threre for a visa run, then take the paper work directly there at 8 am and wait in line outside the building with the other 100 people applying for visas to Korea until the guards let you upstairs and give you a number to wait some more. Beware that if your paper work is not complete, they will just hand it back to you. |

My new wife is in Cebu and wants to submit the paperwork for her F-3 dependent visa (I am a teacher here in Seoul) so she can join me here in Seoul. She just wants to know what documents she needs to submit, where to send them, how much the visa fee is, etc.
When she calls the embassy phone number no one answers or she gets a recorded Korean message which hangs up after a few seconds; or if she gets someone in English finally, she gets put on hold and no one ever picks up. She has spent almost $40 worth of prepaid phone cards so far trying to get this info.
The Korean consular office in Cebu told her to go away, that they are there only to help Korean people with their problems.
I have googled for a web page or email address but can't find anything. It is like they don't want to be contacted!!! |

Actually, if you apply for a visa confirmation number in Korea (takes about 4-5 days to process) and send that to her then she only needs the photos, visa fee ~p2500, application form, copy of her passport and passport.
been there, done that (multiple times). |

Hi, you can reach them at email, <[email protected]>
I was there 2 weeks ago. They were really nice. A C4 Visa cost me 1500.00 Php and took 3 days. The applications are open 9-11 am and delivery 2-4 pm.
Here is the adress.
South Korea Embassy , Philippines
10th Floor, The Pacific Star Building Sen. Gil Puyat corner Makati Avenue
Makati City
Metro Manila
Philippines
(The address & telephone number are correct, but the visa section is at the 18th floor). You can also copy things really cheap at the VISA application room.
Btw, its not possible to do any VISA applications in Cebu. I was there and asked in person. |

Thanks guys!
She seems to think she needs to use a travel agent to apply for her visa (at the Korean embassy in Manila). Is this really necessary? (I'll be the one having to pay the agent'd fee, of course, haha!). She seems to think that an agent will be able to expedite the process, and those not using agents go to the bottom of the stack of applications.
Is the visa application available online (the link to the website doesn't open here on my home computer) or does one have to physically go to Manila (or use an agent as she suggests) to apply?
Any of you know? |

You don't need an agent/fixer. Tell her to go there herself. Agents have to get in line just like everyone else.
She just wants to avoid going there, waiting in line outside the building to get in, waiting in line to have her ID checked at the door, waiting in line to get on an elevator, waiting in line at the entrance to the consulate, and waiting for her number to be called.
The clerks at the window have just as much disdain for agents as they do everyone else. Save your money. |

But she is in Cebu; about an hours flight away from Manila; probably cheaper to pay an agent, no?
Thanks |

A flight between Cebu and Manila cost about 1200 pesos, plus a terminal fee of 200 pesos. The cab will cost someting like 150 pesos. So one way cost like 30 USD. I have no experience with agents, however there was not much waiting time when you are finally there. From the time I entered the building, it took me less than 45 minutes for both the application and pickup. |
