8. Not everyone deserves or should be in university.

Entrance standards should be much more strict. For Liberal Arts students a general 'knowledge' test should be given and if you can't meet that, then you don't belong.

College SHOULD be for the intellectually minded. It stuns me how many of my fellow students had no books aside from their text books at home and did not spend any of their spare time reading books for pleasure.

Sadly though in todays climate, univerisities would all go broke if they couldn;t get enough students by lowering the standards so enough fee payers get in to keep them afloat. When they were public instiutions like in Europe it was okay but in today;s world they are all ran as businesses, so they need the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Catch 22

Unpopular enough, 'ya think?

I realize you say you are aware of the contradiction, but still I have to ask. Is the killing of cattle done more humanely somehow?

Has a cow ever sat with you round the Christmas tree when you opened your presents? Hs a cow ever sat potectively near you all day when you were sick as a kid...?

If people knew cows as well as they did dogs, then they'd feel the same.

No, you guys are misunderstanding me. I totally get the "man's best friend" part, and agree with it. I am asking specifically about the "brutal" part. For those who do not see the difference, is their way of killing dogs anymore brutal than the way they kill cattle?

I never knew that? I guess I'll keep doing that "unpopular" thing cause I blow my nose when my nose needs blowing.

I came here to state an unpopular opinion, not to argue it. I state it out of conviction, not out of ignorance, in that I have already considered other viewpoints, and am steadfast in my own. I don't push this on anyone, but I am perfectly aware of what I believe, the contradictions therein, and the contradictions elsewhere.

And to answer your question, YES. Do you KNOW how and why dogs, and cats for that matter, are killed in East Asia? If not, you should read up before you judge my opinion, which is just that: my opinion. WARINING - GRAPHIC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Q_iS1LsvsU

Shaq is just a big lug who has been successful by traveling and shoving his way to within 3 feet of the rim for dunks and jump-hook type shots.

Robin Williams isn't funny. He just speaks fast and in strange voices to mask that fact.

all hospital dramas are lame.

Getting drunk is just a huge waste of time, money, and the food you end up vomiting.

Actually, many babies aren't cute.
