Just looking for advice. I recently lost my passport and I applied for a new one. I'm picking it up at the Embassy tomorrow.
Just curious, what will happen with my E-2 visa? DI have to apply again, show up to immigration with my passport and ARC card?
I want to make sure everything is taken cared of because I want to take a vacation soon and I don't want to get screwed over coming back.
Asking my co-teachers for help is like pulling teeth. There not very good at helping and they make a big show out of how much of an inconvenience it is to them. |

I think you have to go to immigration within two weeks of the new passport being ISSUED, not recieved. I remember another poster saying he missed the deadline by a day and got fined. I pretty sure you just need your new passport and ARC card and they will look you up and place a new visa in your passport. |

I was in this situation. I had a Korean friend call immigration and I also asked at the American embassy when I applied for a new passport. I was told I did NOT need a new visa and therefore did not get a new one. |

This happened to me last year. I got the new passport and went to immigration with my ARC card. They didn't put in a new visa, but a stamp on my passport that had the visa info written on it. When I left the country immigration took my ARC on the way out. |
