I'm looking for a nice restaurant in Daegu for lunch/early dinner this Saturday. What's a good one which also has vegetarian options (meatless spaghetti toppings will work)?
Thanks for any recommendations! |

Italy Italy is pretty good. It just down the road a little from Holy Grill also a nice restaurant. Both are located downtown Daegu. |

Italy Italy is good as you can choose what goes into your sauce and what kind of pasta noodle you get. They have pizzas that are thing but nice. Once gain it is downtown at the corner where Commune bar is.
Good Luck |

Thanks, again. I'm having no luck on finding the phone number for the place searching in English. But will call the tourist outfit tomorrow morning if I can't find it tonight. |

Glad you rang.
Italy & Italy is a good restaurant? Ah, yes. I love sauces that have been sitting in the fridge for a week, and pasta that was boiled this morning, only to be refried. Spinach kept in the freezer.... yes, wonderful stuff. And, those old sofas, ultra comfort!!
Try one of these.
1. Napoli. Authentic Italian.
Suseong Lake, North side, near the "Airplane Restaurant".
Taxi: Sang Dong Negari. Then walk east about 400m.
Owner is Italian, and not only does he make all his pastas from scratch, but he grows his own herbs and vegetable. He also imports his own wines, which cannot be found in stores.
One of the nicest touches of this venue is that the owner will visit your table to check on your meal.

2. Ganga. Indian cuisine.
Literally a few doors east of Napoli, on the north side of Suseong Lake.
Great design and atmosphere. Great food, but can be a little pricey.
Those who visited the Pusan venue will be familiar.
3. MK Suki (Thai)
HwangGeum Dong. 500 meters south of Hwang Geum Intersection, ACROSS from the Daewoo Trump Apartments.
All taxis know Daewoo Trumpuh Apartuh.
The MK SUKI sign is quite visible, but the actual building is rather un-noticeable.
The restaurant employs real Thai cooks, who have designed a pretty comprehensive menu.
4. Xin Chao (Vietnamese)
Suseong Gu, Doosan Oguhri.
Great atmosphere. Looks like an old French colonial home. |
