|
|
How do you guys use American consoles in South Korea? As far as I know, all gaming console adapters can only handle the voltage standard in the country that they are sold in. My Wii says Input: 120V, it doesn't accept a range of voltages like my laptop or other mobile electronics. What do I need to play it in Korea and how much will it cost me?
Thanks for any help. |

Look in the Technology forum at any one of approximately 800 threads asking the same question... |

I dont think it will work
The US system is NTSC and the Korean system is PAL. |

Actually Korea is NTSC, the Wii will work fine if you buy a power converter for 50,000 won or so. DO NOT PLUG IT IN without one. I have a Korean wii modded and it only plays NTSC games. |

Yeah of course it will work fine if you get a power converter.
Take it to Yongsan while you're at it and get that thing chipped.
Then you can just download NTSC games, burn them to a DVD, and play to your heart's content.
That's what I did with my Japanese wii. |
