My EPIK contract ends on Nov. 1st, and I just found out today that I need to be out of the apartment the same day after I was told last week that I could stay a couple extra days to get things squared away. Apparently, movers will come to the apartment and move everything out while I am teaching on the last day. I thought that I would have up till at least midnight on the 4th to leave. Talk about being insulted. Rolling Eyes

Boy, Korea really sparkles. Yahoo!

What section of your EPIK contract does it say after? Never mind. I just had a conversation with the VP, and he said that the movers could come by on the 2nd, since that is when the new teacher will arrive. This year has been very easy for them to find another NST by the way. Last year and the preceding years it would normally take up to a half a year to find a replacement.

Just do what I did and use the last few days to arrange all the stuff you need to do. Tell them because you have to be out of your place you can't teach the last three days. Use that time to be ready to go and enjoy getting out of there ASAP.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. I have been flirting with that idea, since I know that it is my co-teacher creating this situation, and I wouldnt doubt it if she is trying to stick me in the back for offering her a piece of my mind regarding her teaching methods last week.

The VP, who has never really said a word to me for the whole year there, has said that I could leave on Nov. 2nd in the morning. Wow wee. Whippy ding ling!

I feel sorry for the next piece of meat thats taking my place: three week summer and winter camps, and few days off; and all that with a co-teacher that doesnt like foreigners, but shes leaving the school next Feb anyway.
