I know how you feel!!! Television programming in Canada sucks too! I mean no Korean music channels, no LG Twins games, I can't even watch FC Seoul play. Not to mention missing PD Dairy either.

College football???? Come on.... really??? Are you serious?????

You can get Fox News Channel via IPTV, and the World Series is on one of the sports cable channels.

So many cheapskates here who want channels but are too cheap to pay for them.

Domestic programming here blows... but you can't seriously be expecting college football.

Best Channels

OCN- lots of English movies
C.S.I. Almost every night usually more than one back to back.
Cold Case- interesting flashbacks playing old music.

The Discovery Channel- Lots of interesting Science Shows.
Plus American Chopper love to see Paul senior freak out.

BBC- Dr. Who, Waterloo Road, Unfortunatly there are Lots of comedies that aren't funny British humour has gone downhill miss the "Monty Python" days

I used to follow "Lost" religeously don't know what happened to that

Here are some directions you can follow if you really need your American TV so much: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=incheon+airport+directions&fb=1&hq=airport+directions&hnear=incheon&cid=0,0,8904763081131646942&ei=E_3oStXiH5Xq6gOgzoDvCw&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CAsQnwIwAA

There is a LOT of English-language programming out here in Korea but it ain't free.

There is the History Channel (subbed in Korean and entirely in English); Discovery Channel (same); Australia Network; CNBC; CNN Int'l; Fox News Channel; ESPN Star aka Star Sports SE Asia feed (sports channel all in English); CCTV9 (English-language channel all about China); Arirang TV (English-language channel all about Korea, but not worth watching); Bloomberg TV; BBC World News; Euro News (available on IPTV); Voom TV (art and fashion channel); National Geographic Wild and Nat Geo Adventure (the first is subbed in Korean, the second is not but entirely in English); BBC Entertainment (subbed in Korean); BBC Lifestyle (IPTV); Deutsche Welles TV Asia (channel about Germany that mostly has programs in English); AXN Asia (subbed in Korean but all in English); and SKY HD (same).

IPTV is the key as it'll keep adding channels. I have Qook IPTV and it added 11 channels this month.

For those who don't want cable or satellite, try IPTV either through SK Broadband or Qook. LG Powercomm's sucks.

I hate missing the NFL and major tennis tournaments. It's all available in Thailand, but not in Korea.
I saw a few minutes of a tennis masters series from China on xsports TV. I wanted to check the schedule for when the next match is. Guess what xsports TV has no schedule.
TV here definitely blows.

If you don't mind viewing college football online, there's channelsurfing.net.

You might have to wake up at some ungodly hour like 4 or 5 am on Sunday to watch some games though.

I wish we didn't get any of that shite! I wish it were black and white Amos n Andy reruns overdubbed in Korean and low budget Korean public TV, like programming in foreign countries is always depicted as in the movies.

I laugh inside knowing that people here pay for cable and only get a limited number of English language channels!

Try being married to a Korean and having to watch the SAME entertainers involved in 5 versions of the SAME shows.

Can anyone say... originality??? Rolling Eyes

OH... for show #1, let's stick a few comedians, a sexy singer, some old fart ajumma comedians, and a guest in a sauna and have them talk. Hilarious!

Oh... for show #2 let's stick the same people in a house out in the middle of nowhere... Hilarious!

Oh... for show #3, let's send them traveling around in a van ... hilarious!

Oh... for show #4, we'll have the ugly one go out on dates while the others talk about it... hilarious!

Oh.. for show #5, we'll have the same people dress odd and run an obstacle course... hilarious!

Haha.. I feel you Bass. I'm not a big fan of Korean comedy programming and I try not to be in the same room when it's on. It's actually kind of worse just hearing it - when something funny happens and they replay that 1 second clip immediately 3 times in a row.. ugh.

Ever read the gaijin smash blog? Japan is the same. Korean shows usually rip off Japanese shows so that shouldn't come as a surprise.

One of the several reasons I don't hang out with groups of Koreans anymore. There were too many times we would go somewhere to eat, there would be a TV with one of these stupid shows on and everybody in the group would glue their eyes to it except me. Might as well be eating alone. Then they ask me "Why aren't you laughing?"

I hate those instant replays!! It's like they just discovered it. If only they could imagine how annoying they get. I think a regular 30 minute show is about 10 minutes in actuality.
