Sorry, I know this must have been asked before, but here it goes again...

I'm planning to go to Hongdae tomorrow to see a Korean band I like. I guess they are part of Clubday, playing at 9:00 at the bar/club FF.

1. Any tips on how to find this place? I've never been, and haven't found very clear maps. I'll be coming by subway...

2. If the band starts at 9:00 is there a need to get there early? I have no idea whether to anticipate a crowd.

Thanks!

it's a well known place, and most foreigners know it, but it's kind of tricky to give directions. when u buy your clubday ticket, they give u a map. ff will prob be on it. if not, ska2 will be. ska2 is next to ff. just head out of exit 5 honkik univ station and keep asking foreigners. you'll get there.

Take subway line 6, get off at Sangsu station, go out exit 1 (i think), go right out the exit, walk straight (toward Hongik University) for maybe like 5 minutes, then turn left into the alley that's right before the 7-11. It's on your right, in the basement of GOGO's.

Normally you never need to show up early to buy tickets at FF but since Gogo Star is playing and they're the flavor of the month in the punk scene (I think they suck though), it might be kinda packed. But I still doubt it will sell out.

The Rock Tigers are always a good time. I think there are better shows tomorrow night though, like 99 Anger at Club Spot.

Here is Club FF...

Wikimapia is an interactive map. You can zoom out and see where Hongik University and the subway station are. You can change the map from satellite imagery to a korean map if you so wish.

Have a good night.

Thanks for the directions! I'm going to head out there in an hour or so. So, do I buy tickets at FF or at another place? I'm actually not interested in Gogo Star, and I've seen Rock Tigers before (they're fun). I'm interested in the opening act, 3rd Line Butterfly. I have a CD of there's a think it's great.
