Thanks for the information about the public schools.
It isn't too bad that I missed primary hiring season for Uni as I am not going to be looking to go over until September or October anyways (I am just always checking out the job boards to see what kind of work is available and so on). I am pretty flexible on when I leave once I finish my Special Ed degree (in August) as I can always float around here substituting for a while anyways so I'll be sure to keep an eye out for good offers and not settle for the first one I come across (unless it is good of course, haha).
Thanks again for the info!

Hi Mscatbc! Just wondering how the rest of the year turned out for you? I just signed a contract with Maple Bear Islan so I'm really interested to hear about it and get connected with people who've worked there!

Thanks! Very Happy

If anyone's thinking of Maple Bear Yongin, PM me! I've been here for a few months, and I can put you in contact with other teachers at the school, too. ALWAYS talk to current teachers at a school before signing!

I think that name's worse than Ding Ding Dang. What the hell do "maple" and "bear" have to do with each other?

"Look! A maple bear!" Wonder what genius thought of that name. Yeah, "maple" and "bear" are Canadian things, but it's like calling a school "Bacon Beaver" or something.

They sound like idiots. Plus it's kindergarten. Who in their right mind teaches kindergarten?

Better than "Pedobear."

I am considering a position at the new Bucheon branch of Maple Bear. Can anyone send me any information other that has already been posted? I know a few people would rather email their experiences. If anyone can assist, please email me at [email protected].

Thanks for your help!
