No.
Only a few areas have early closing rules - 10 pm. Most of Korea has midnight closing rules or none at all.
OP. If you like teaching middle school age, that's the time they study, so that's when you'll have to teach them, unless you get into a public school. |

Again, can't make much of an assessment without more details. They'll probably feed you dinner, meaning one of those hours will be for dinner. Sounds like a typical hakwon 30-hour weekly job, but I could be wrong. Anyway, some people love that kind of shift while others hate. I'm currently starting at 3 on two of my days and 1 on the other, and I actually like the later start. |

3 days a week I start at 1:30 and go until 10 pm, while the other 2 days I start at 4pm or 6pm. Wed. I get out at 7pm, while the other days I get out at 10. It is pretty difficult to stay out that late when you are an early morning person, so I just add a nap before work. |

In my opinion, all you professional teachers would not advocate teaching middle/high school kids in the late evenings. When I first started teaching in korea way back when, I flat out told the hogwon boss that I would not teach the youngsters late nightsadults yes, but not high or middle school. Needless to say, I was not renewed and it did not matter because I ended up at a university.
They are already in class early in the mornings as it is! As it is, koreans are no more smarter with all the late night teaching, attending hogwons, etc..when compared to other countries students!
If youre still in middle/grammar/high school/baby school..whatever, they need to enjoy their young years, not growing up and eventually resenting their parents for making them attend late night classes, etc. I teach at a University.most of the students resent their formative years forced schooling and will not make their own children go to hogwons, etckoreans are monkey see monkey do anyway and its keeping up with the Jones.so Im sure in spite of their statements, they will make their children attend late night school also! |

No brainer. Never. No way. Well, maybe for a month or two if they're paying over 10 million a month. |

I liked my old 2-10 schedule, but ending at 8 or 9 would've been even better.
An 11 pm finish would not be a deal breaker for me so long as it's a good job. |

+1
i also done the 11pm gig for a bit. you find all your friends will finish an hour earlier at least and then will go out straight from work. you'll spend a year pissed off missing those taxis into town and making your own way there. its not worth it. |
