|
|
So I'm leaving Korea in 2 weeks and in addition to my bags (I have 2 large bags) I have a 50lb dog as well who is coming with me.
The bus is not an option as I'm unwilling to put my dog in the undercarriage. I could take the KTX but thats still a taxi ride to either Mokpo or Gwangju then getting me and all my stuff plus my dog onto the train then getting it all off then onto another taxi to drop my dog at the vets.
So I'm thinking the easiest option is a taxi and someone said maybe a call van service. I did speak to someone at the taxi station and I got a quote for 400,000 for a regular tax to Seoul. Someone said a call van service might be cheaper and I'd also prefer a van just for more space.
I've asked around town and it seems there isn't a call van service here in town so I'm looking for call van contact info maybe in Mokpo or Gwangju or really anywhere if they're willing to come to Gangjin to arrange a pick up service.
Also if anyone else has any other ideas about transportation I'd be open to them. |

have you tried calling the jumbo taxi people? i used them last year and they charged 70,000W for a trip from incheon to seoul (with pets). 02-888-2000
the international taxi people also have large vans and allow pets. you might want to try them as well. http://internationaltaxi.co.kr:8099/html/en/intro/intro.jsp |

thanks for the tip, i will try the jumbo taxi people. i did try the international taxi service but they only drive within the seoul/incheon area and don't do pick ups from other locations. thats the problem, i live out in the sticks. |
